Courtney & Sarah: Happy New Year!

Courtney: Yay!

Sarah: Bye-bye 2020.

Courtney: Bye, don’t let the door hit you on the way out, right?

Sarah: Oh yeah.

Courtney: So, I’m so excited about 2021, it cannot get any worse right Sarah?

Sarah: Well, my mom always told me never to say never.

Courtney: That’s true. It could always be worse.

Sarah: Yeah, it could always be worse.

Courtney: But fingers crossed that we have a great year.

Sarah: Yes.

Courtney: Everybody comes together, stops being mean, stops fighting, and everyone just comes together to us with love and appreciation and joy and humility.

Sarah: That’s right.

Courtney: That is my prayer and my wish for 2021. It doesn’t matter what you believe. We all speak the international language of love.

Sarah: That’s true.

Courtney: So that’s my wish for this year, is that everyone starts speaking love.

Sarah: Yes, that’s a good wish. I would agree with that. I second that wish.

Courtney: So do you have any New Year’s resolutions? Are you trying to… you’re pretty perfect, Sarah, so I can’t even imagine what you would be working on, but…

Sarah: Far from perfect.

Courtney: Pretty close.

Sarah: But my New Year’s resolution is to be of service more in my community. Really just want to…

Courtney: Wow.

Sarah: Help any way I can, serve more.

Courtney: That’s really nice.

Sarah: Yeah.

Courtney:  And that’s always mine too. Yeah. We can never serve enough, can we?

Sarah: Yeah. We can always serve more. Help each other.

Courtney: That’s really good. My resolution this year is just to be more patient and accepting and loving of others. To be more like Sarah, that’s really what I want to do.

Sarah: And just help each other.

Courtney: Yes.

Sarah: Just help each other.

Courtney: You always help me. So what’s cool is I’m really excited about today. Sarah was on the show last year, but she didn’t perform. She is an amazing singer and musician and she is going to sing a song that she wrote in the car on her way over here.

Sarah: I was inspired.

Courtney: Called Burn Down Babylon. That’s going to be at the end and I can’t wait to hear it. Sarah, what was your inspiration for the song?

Sarah: Ooh, definitely 2020. Babylon represents that unseen, broken system that promotes hate, fear, and division. Like I’m burning that to the ground.

Courtney: A battle of good and evil.

Sarah: Exactly. You want to bring more love and more service and more helping each other in 2021.

Courtney: Yeah. It’s like what I learned is there’s a lot of psychological warfare going on.

Sarah: For sure.

Courtney: And it’s definitely a war between good and evil. And I just try to stay on the good side every day…

Sarah: Most definitely.

Courtney: And surround myself with good people.

Sarah: Yeah. It’s a good strategy.

Courtney:  Alright, well  I can’t wait to hear your song. Now tell me about this smoothie. Sarah created this just for New Year’s Day. It’s called Liquid Gold.

Sarah: Yes. So I was inspired to create a wintertime smoothie because smoothies are one of my favorite ways to break the fast in the morning for breakfast. But in the wintertime, it can be kind of tricky because you know smoothies make you really, really cold. Right.

Courtney: And I love to drink smoothies all winter long and then I regret it. I’m like, why did I do that? I’m freezing, I’m freezing.

Sarah: Shivering in a corner. Yeah.

Courtney: Yeah, so I’m excited.

Sarah: So this one gets its beautiful golden hue from the turmeric. Is it turmeric or turmer-ic?

Courtney: I say turmeric.

Sarah: Turmeric, yeah.

Courtney: Tomato, tomatoe.

Sarah: Yeah, potato, potatoe.

Courtney: I just know that it’s really good for you and it reduces inflammation. Yes. And it’s going to give us that beautiful gold color.

Sarah: That liquid gold.

Courtney: Yes.

Sarah: We also have some other key players in this smoothie. We’ve got cinnamon and ginger, which are both really warming spices.

Courtney: Oh yeah,

Sarah: Ginger is really good for the stomach, aides in digestion.

Courtney: So after I drank this and we tried this the other day, I really did feel warm all over…

Sarah: Within minutes.

Courtney: Like I was in the tropics. It was crazy. So I’m just so excited.

Sarah: That’s good.

Courtney: And speaking of tropics, you want to make sure that you use coconut milk.

Sarah: Oh yeah.

Courtney: You can use almond milk or cashew milk if that’s all you have. But if you use coconut milk, it’s really going to give you that tropical flavor and we like to put in one and a quarter cup of coconut milk. You always want to use plant-based milk. You would never want to use milk from a cow or from an animal at all. Right, Sarah?

Sarah: That’s totally right.

Courtney: And speaking of cows, what’s a cow’s favorite holiday?

Sarah: Oh, I don’t know.

Courtney: Mooooo Year’s Day.

Sarah: Ohh, that’s a good one. I love that one.

Courtney: Okay. So to keep with the tropical theme…

Sarah: Yes.

Courtney: We’ve got some mango here. I’m just going to put in one cup of mango.

Sarah: Yes.

Courtney: Hey Sarah.

Sarah: What Courtney?

Courtney: What do you do if your boyfriend doesn’t like your un-cooking?

Sarah: Ooh, I don’t know. What do you do?

Courtney: You let that man-go!

Sarah: I’ll let him go then.

Courtney: Yes, yes, yes! Okay, so now we’re going to put in two frozen bananas, half a teaspoon of cinnamon.

Sarah: Put that warmth in there.

Courtney: Yes, and cinnamon is great to regulate your blood sugar.

Sarah: Oh yeah. Turmeric.

Courtney: We add some turmeric, half a teaspoon.

Sarah: Got your ginger next.

Courtney: And that’s going to reduce inflammation. Yup, ginger, and that’s very warming too. And I have to say and be honest, you’re going to love or hate this smoothie.

Sarah: Yes;

Courtney: Don’t you think?

Sarah: It’s different than any other smoothie you’ve ever had.

Courtney: Yeah, so we made this the other day for some friends and I loved it.

Sarah: Me too.

Courtney: I like half of us loved it and half of us were like ugh.

Sarah: Yeah.

Courtney: But I think liquid gold.

Sarah: It totally is liquid gold. It’s like the perfect name for it.

Courtney: I don’t know what they would call it, but I think it’s liquid gold.

Sarah: They might call it something different.

Courtney: And then we have one teaspoon of chia seeds.

Sarah: Yes.

Courtney: And what do we need chia seeds for?

Sarah: Chia seeds have lots of good fibers, it aids digestion again.  Also, it’s a really good source of omega-3 fats, which are also anti-inflammatory.

Courtney: We just throw it all in our high-speed blender…

Sarah: Press that blend.

Courtney: And let it go. And I just blend smoothies till the cows come home. I like my smoothies really, really smooth. What do you think?

Sarah: It looks good to me. It’s got a nice color.

Courtney: And we always drink our smoothies and our juices and champagne or wine glasses. But especially on New Year’s Day.

Sarah: Most definitely for New Year’s.

Courtney: We’re going to drink our liquid gold. Look at that. Beautiful.

Sarah: Gosh, look at that color. Do you see that? Liquid gold.

Courtney: To burning down Babylon?

Sarah: Yep.

Courtney: Alright.

Sarah: Bye-bye 2020.

Courtney: I love it. That might be my favorite smoothie of the whole year.

Sarah: Yeah, it’s a good one.

[Outro Music].

Courtney: Me and my girl Sarah making liquid gold. This stuff will keep you young, man, you’ll never get old. Bringing 21 with a bang. Man, I hope this year is different because we need a change.

Sarah: Speaking of change. Yo, you’ve got to try this smoothie. It’ll help you stay fit and have a really nice…

Courtney & Sarah: Booty.

Courtney: No you don’t need a stove or an oven to cook. Just a blender, dehydrator…

Courtney & Sarah: And Courtney Uncooked.

Courtney: Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the one, the only Sarah Lucento performing her hit single Burn down Babylon.

Sarah: I had a dream last night.

Courtney: What was your dream?

Sarah: That I was fighting off the darkness and bringing the light. I wanna speak the truth, then save the youth, I wanna burn down Babylon. Expose the truth that’s been hidden from you. Unite together, we can all get through. I wanna burn down Babylon. Violence on your TV screen is mind-controlling the mainstream. I wanna burn down Babylon. Mask on your face so you’re a disgrace, divide and conquer that’s the number one case. I gotta burn down Babylon, burned down Babylon, burned down Babylon.
Sarah & Courtney: Burn down Babylon.
